SCULPTURE

POSTGRADUATE (Master of Arts)

Educational Objectives

The postgraduate diploma in Sculpture further develops and enhances cultural content and specific preparation in the field of sculpture. It is a program designed to provide students with a comprehensive and multidimensional education in the language of plastic arts. By addressing both traditional and contemporary technologies, the course aims to develop advanced artistic skills, stimulate personal creativity, and guide students toward a professional career in the world of art.

Another key goal is to provide students with a solid cultural foundation related to the most important contemporary artists. This includes studying the interactions between sculpture, architecture, landscape, and other art forms. The master’s program seeks to develop students’ critical analysis skills through reflection on artworks, both their own and those of other artists. Classroom discussions, expanding their bibliographic knowledge, reviews, and writing art critiques will encourage students to form informed opinions and actively contribute to the artistic debate.

The program also includes a focus on management and promotion skills, which are essential for starting a successful career in the art world. Students will learn about cultural marketing, exhibition event management, and networking strategies, all of which are fundamental for building a sustainable and visible artistic career.

Employment Opportunities

Students, encouraged to experiment and find their own artistic path, can pursue a career as independent artists, participating in competitions and creating original works to be exhibited in galleries, art fairs, and public spaces. The training acquired will allow them to contribute to the contemporary art scene.

The Ligustica Academy of Fine Arts will organize, in collaboration with public and private entities, the most suitable internships and placements to help students achieve the specific professional skills that will further define specific training models for each course of study. This program is designed to provide students not only with advanced technical skills but also a solid theoretical foundation and a deep understanding of the artistic context and the contemporary art market. Structuring one’s knowledge and abilities enables individuals to realize their potential and compete in the various career opportunities offered within the cultural environment of society, especially in the artistic world.

Those who develop a passion for teaching can pursue a career in the academic or school sector, passing on artistic skills to new generations of artists.
