Learning objectives

The aim of the Decoration course is to achieve adequate mastery of artistic methods and techniques as  well as acquire specific know-how of design and style methodologies in the use of the tools of image representation and artistic practices, with particular focus on traditional tools and new technologies.

The courses of the School will develop technical and general knowledge for the implementation of projects, landscape interventions, environmental works besides the in-depth study and research of visual art languages.

Graduates will acquire a sound knowledge, both technical and operational, of methods and contents regarding research in their own fields of the arts, the techniques and technologies of visual and plastic art in relation to decoration. They will possess the necessary critical and methodological tools to master new forms of expression, techniques and state-of-the-art technologies.

The course will include the study of a European Union language other than the mother tongue language, in the main field of expertise  and for the exchange of general information and assistance for  IT self-updating (consultants, texts, tests and access to IT laboratories), the use of digital tools and digital communication.

Employment prospects

Graduates of the School will carry out professional activities in a number of different areas both as freelance artists or in the field of visual arts and creative activities, besides collaborating,  for the various fields of application, in the planning, design and implementation of specific  decoration works both with traditional tools  and new technologies as well as  with new forms of expression which may be encountered at national and international events.

The Accademia Ligustica of Belle Arti  alongside public and private institutions, will organize suitable work placements and internships in order to forge specific professional skills, in addition to setting specific training goals to achieve for each course of study .

Thanks to the current agreements with the city Museums, the “Scuola Edile, Imperia”, “Scuola comunale di Ceramica”, Albisola Superiore and private institutions, the Accademia Ligustica will organize the most suitable work placements and internships in order to forge specific professional skills, in addition to setting specific training goals to achieve for each course of study.
